Vagabond Opera:

We are super excited to officially announce the NEWEST Vagabond Opera album’s official release date! Our brand new album, “Sing For Your Lives” is hitting the streets on September 13th!

Having created a large body of new material with no record of its recording, we are long overdue for a new creation for the world. This album will be featuring such songs as “Red Balloon”, “Sing For Your Lives”, “The Last Dance” and “I Want A Beard and Mustache” and all original Balkan and Klezmer tunes. This is also a new departure in which all songs on this album will be all original compositions from members of Vagabond Opera.

“Sing For Your Lives” will also be more of a concept album, melding the acknowledgement of a darkened world with mixtures of soaring vocals, orchestral melodies and the glimmer of hope, dance, celebration and love that always seem to get us through.

After being in the band for over two years, this album will also feature our very own Ashia Grzesik in her Vagabond Opera recording debut!

“Vagabond Opera’s multifaceted style is a product of 21st century Portland’s spirit of experimentation. But as innovative as they are, the band also draws on the deepest roots of musical tradition to revive a time when communities gathered together to celebrate through dance and song.”
